The More We Change…

So, it appears we have made a new layout system thing. The good news is that it’s much more user friendly with plugins that are way more compatible than Joomla ever offered. Adding a new post is simpler, and there’s no need to find a decent menu script, or have to keep adding/deleting items. Each menu item or widget is basically drag-n-drop, saving heaps of time.

The bad news is, I was unable to save the previous user data, as one would encounter when changing from one content management system (CMS) to another. And when I backed up our previous article posts, the images were deleted from the FTP, and the formatting of the articles was jacked up all to hell. So that means that if I were to repost my F-Word article (because my dumbass didn’t save them as Word documents first), I have to go in and redo every single line. Not cool.

I am currently in the works of new review ideas and also working on an RPG for the site (free to download, though we still accept donations). If I can find a few loopholes, perhaps I could even sell it for $3 or something. Though, Aeria Games’ successful hit Shaiya is free to play, and it’s a rather lovely looking game, if I do say so.

One thing I should mention is that I’m also building an Iron Man suit, which I will link up here soon enough. I was thinking of giving the build progress it’s own Page on here, though I can settle for a forum thread if need be.

I think that’s it, for now. Sorry for the lack of updates, but we have lives too, ya know. Especially because, unlike Nostalgia Critic or Angry Video Game Nerd, we don’t get paid for doing this. This is strictly us trying to enjoy ourselves and make awesome videos when we get the chance to do it (work and school and the like). At the very least, just check out our content and let us know what you think. Thank you and enjoy the new DFF!
